Megan Marino, Andrew Stenson, Cecilia Violetta Lopez Headline Opera Colorado’s 2019-20 Season

Opera Colorado has announced its 2019-20 season featuring three classic operas. The season includes rising stars in the business as well as veterans. Here is a look at what to expect.

The season opens with Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” with Megan Marino and Andrew Stenson headlining the cast. Bruno Taddia sings the title role, while Stefano De Peppo and Harold Wilson round out the cast. Ari Pelto conducts the Omer Ben Seadia production.

Performance Dates: Nov. 2-10, 2019

Cecilia Violetta Lopez headlines the production of Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci” with John Pickle as Canio. Will Liverman, and Levi Hernandez round out the cast with Ari Pelto conducting. The production is conducted by David Lefkowich.

Performance Dates: Feb. 27-March 1, 2020

Melissa Citro sings the title role of Puccini’s “Tosca” with Rafael Dávila as Cavaradossi and Luis Ledesma as Scarpia. Ari Pelto conducts with Louisa Muller conducting.Performance Dates: May 2-10, 2020
