The new album comes from the recording of her March 11th recital with Vocal Arts DC, with the Vlad Iftinca.

The album includes songs by Mendelssohn, Schubert and Fernando Obradors and Giacomo Meyerbeer.

In a press release, Oropesa noted, “A lot of work went into getting this created, and I am grateful to everyone who was a part of this incredible journey. Steven Harris who designed the album art and put everything together is my knight in shining armor. He has put so much work into this I don’t know how to thank him enough every day. Austin Scarlett thank you for letting me wear your amazing gowns.”

She also thanked her family for helping her through the process.

Oropesa is a well-known coloratura soprano who is performing all over the world. She is currently at the Dutch National Opera performing the role of Gilda in Verdi’s “Rigoletto.” She is scheduled to perform at Glyndebourne in Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale.” Next season she sings the title role of Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” at the Royal Opera House and is scheduled to return to the Metropolitan Opera in Humperdink’s “Hansel and Gretel.”

The album is available on all streaming music services Spotify, Amazon mp3, Deezer, Google Play Music, Groove, and Tidal.
