By Francisco Salazar

Isabel Leonard and Nadine Sierra have been announced for the Park Avenue Armory Recital series.

The recital series announced that on Jan. 5 and 7 Leonard would offer a Leonard Bernstein program in honor of the composer’s centennial.

Sierra will then showcase her talents on Feb. 16 and 18 in a recital filled with art songs and arias.

Both recitals will take place on the Board of Officers Room at the Armory.

The season will also feature programs from participants of the Met’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program (March 6–7), the new choir The Crossing (in a traveling concert throughout the armory Sept. 19–20), the New York recital debut of pianist Severin von Eckardstein (in a Schumann and Medtner program Nov. 13 and a Schumann, Wagner, Liszt, and Martin Herchenröder program Nov. 14), and a Mahler and Duparc recital from Dutch baritone Thomas Oliemans.

Sierra and Leonard are currently preparing “Le Nozze di Figaro” at the Metropolitan Opera. Leonard will sing her signature Cherubino while Sierra will make her role debut as Susanna. Leonard is also scheduled to host the Met’s “Tosca” in HD and she will sing “La Cenerentola” in Munich and Vienna. Meanwhile, Sierra recently finished recording her first album for Decca and is scheduled to perform alongside Andrea Bocelli in February.
