Deutsche Grammophon Releases New EP For Anna Netrebko

Deutsche Grammphon has released a new EP recording of Anna Netrebko.

The new EP features a new recording of “O Mio Babbino Caro,” an aria she recorded back in 2004 for her second solo album “Sempre Libera.” This time, she is accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Jader Bignamini.

The new EP comes on the heels of her recent performance at the Sommernachtkonzert where she performed the aria, as well as three other arias.

Netrebko recently revealed she was recording a new album, which included the “Brindisi” from “La Traviata” and the Concerto for soprano by Gliere. Her last album was a crossover CD which included the music of Igor Krutoy last September.

Next up Decca will release a DVD  of Verdi’s “Giovanna D’Arco” starring Netrebko in the title role and Sony Classical will release the Sommernachtkonzert on DVD and CD.
