Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov Recieve Awards in Azerbaijan

Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov have received two prestigious awards from the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Eyvazov announced via Instagram that he had been awarded the “People’s Artist of Azerbaijan” by president Ilham Aliyev and the vice president.

Meanwhile, Netrebko received the “Order of Friendship” by the President who signed the order. According to the order, Netrebko was awarded for her contribution to the strengthening of cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan in the field of musical art.

Netrebko and Eyvazov are preparing a concert at the Royal Albert Hall, where they will perform the music of Verdi, Cilea, Boito, Mascagni, Puccini, and Catalani. They will also tour Latin America throughout the summer and make an appearance at the Salzburg Festival. They will also sing a production of “Adriana Lecouvreur” at the Baden-Baden Festival. The two also headline a World Cup concert at Red Square.
