Oper Leipzig has named conductor Yura Yang its First Kapellmeister, beginning during the 2024-25 season.  She is currently the First Coordinated Kapellmeister at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe.  Yang studied at the Detmold University of Music and the University of Music and Theatre Munich.
