Santa Fe Opera will team up with PBS to present “From Page to Stage: The Lord of Cries.”

The series is set to start on March 27 and will focus on John Corigliano and Mark Adamo’s new opera “The Lord of Cries” across seven episodes ending on August 14, 2021. The showcase will allow audiences a behind the scenes look at the new work, which is scheduled to open on July 17 as part of the 64^th season of the Santa Fe Opera.

The program will feature interviews with  Santa Fe Opera General Director Robert K. Meya, renowned tenor George Shirley, composer John Corigliano, librettist Mark Adamo, director James Darrah, costume designer Chrisi Karvonides-Dushenko, countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, soprano Susanna Phillips, and Santa Fe Opera production director Chelsea Antrim Dennis, among others.

Meya said in a press release about this very first collaboration between the Santa Fe Opera and New Mexico PBS.
