The Weill and Brecht work opens on Nov. 14 and 16 at the Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht. Then it head to Turnhout on Nov. 20, 2025 followed by performances at Eindhoven (Nov. 22), Heerlen (Nov. 25), The Hague (Nov. 27), Utrecht (Nov. 29), Groningen (Dec. 2), Haarlem (Dec. 4), Tiburg (Dec. 6), Breda (Dec. 10), Den Bosch (Dec. 12), before returning to Maastricht for a final performance on Dec. 14, 2025.

Enrico Delamboye and Lochlan Brown conduct the Philzuid, while Servé Hermans makes his directing debut.

“What interests me is how social and current the piece is. In ‘Die Dreigroschenoper,’ power lies with a small group of people in a society where the vast majority are in need. Compare that to the era we live in,” said Hermans.

The cast includes Michael Wilmering, Maarten Heijmans, Maartje Rammeloo, Huub Claessens, Lien Haegeman, Marcel van Dieren, Nikki Treurniet, Lucie van Ree, Kikki Géron, Jacques de Faber, Pim van Drunen, and Tim Stoler.
