Luminosa Voices & Luminosa Chamber Voices to Present ‘A Season to Sing’
By David SalazarLuminosa Voices and Luminosa Chamber Voices will present “A Season to Sing” on March 22, 2025 at St. Bartholomew the Great in London.
The showcase, which features Joanna Forces L’Estrange’s reimagining of Vivaldi’s famed opus, “The Four Seasons” for mixed voices and organ, will be conducted by Rebekah Abbott and features organist Gavin Roberts.
“The Four Seasons is the first piece of music I can remember hearing from my childhood. I used to dance around the sitting room to it! I thought a great way to mark its 300th anniversary would be to make it possible for choirs to perform it. Vivaldi’s tunes are so magnificent they deserve to be sung,” Forbes L’Estrange said per an official press release.
The concert also includes works by Forces L’Estrange, Alexander L’Estrange, and Sir John Rutter CBE.
Furthermore, Luminosa Music will feature a “come and sing” workshop on March 15 which allows community members to work with the composer. The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
