Los Angeles Master Chorale Launches New Community Series

The Los Angeles Master Chorale launches its inaugural “Community Series: Sacred Spaces” concert series.

Grant Gershon, the Kiki & David Gindler Artistic Director leads the concerts series which aims to embrace music and space. Each concert features diverse repertoire that spans centuries—from traditional hymns and spirituals to contemporary works.

The first two programs feature Anton Bruckner’s “Locus iste,” Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina’s “Missa Ave Regina Coelorum,” Hyo-Won Woo’s “Cum Sancto Spiritu,” traditional works such as “My Lord, What a Mourning,” “We Shall Walk Through the Valley in Peace,” and “Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal,” Morten Lauridsen’s “O Magnum Mysterium,” Duke Ellington’s “The Lord’s Prayer,” “TaReKiTa,” composed by Swan Family, and “Wana Baraka,” arranged by Shawn Kirchner.

The first concert hosted by All Saints’ Beverly Hills on April 6. St. Andrew Church in Pasadena holds the second concert in the series on April 11.
