Distinguished Concerts International New York Brings Santiago High School Choirs to Carnegie Hall

Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) will bring all three of Santiago High School’s choirs to perform at Carnegie Hall.

Coming from California the Santiago High School choirs and the East Brunswick High School Orchestra from New Jersey will perform as part of DCINY’s “Windsong” series.

Santiago High School’s Treble Ensemble which consists of 33 female voices will be performing music by Clausen, Hassler (arr. Russell Robinson), Newfoundland Folksong (arr. Ruth Elaine Schram), and David L. Brunner. The
Santiago High School Combined Women’s Choir will offer music by Joan Szymko and Beverly A. Patton. And finally, the 35 mixed voice singers in the Santiago High School Madrigals ensemble will perform music by Viadana, Traditional Spiritual (arr. Jack Halloran and Dick Bolks), David N. Childs, and Z. Randall Stroope.

Alexis Ohmar will accompany the choirs at the piano and Karen Garrett will conduct. Arvin Gopal directs the East Brunswick High School Orchestra.

The Carnegie Hall performance will take place on March 18 at 7 pm.
