The Semperoper Dresden has announced a cast change for its production of “Cabaret.”

The company announced that Soprano Sabine Brohm will not appear in the role of Fräulein Schneider in John Kander’s Musical “Cabaret” in the first three performances.

As a result, Brigitte Roth will perform on Jan. 17, 18 & 19.

Roth recently appeared in the role of Fräulein Schneider, Annina in Verdi’s “La Traviata” and Mère Jeanne vom Jesuskind in “Dialogues des Carmélites” at the Theater Nordhausen.

Max Renne will conduct the production by Manfred Weiß with set design by Timo Dentler and costumes by Okarina Peter.

Brohm will sing the production on Jan. 21.

“Cabaret” opens on Jan. 17 and runs through Jan. 29, 2020.
