Sophia Lambton

Sophia Lambton, an English-Russian-Jewish writer, is a longtime classical music critic and novelist based in London. Her twelve-years-in-the-making biography of Maria Callas – The Callas Imprint: A Centennial Biography – was published to coincide with the soprano’s one hundredth birthday on 2 December 2023.

She is also the author of literary fiction saga The Crooked Little Pieces.

Since then she has contributed to The Guardian, Bachtrack, musicOMH, BroadwayWorld, BBC Music Magazine and OperaWire, and conducted operatic research around the world for The Callas Imprint: A Centennial Biography.
