Anna Netrebko’s ‘Tosca’ to be Streamed on DG Stage

By Francisco Salazar

Deutsche Grammophon is scheduled to stream Puccini’s “Tosca” with Anna Netrebko from the Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples for the Teatro San Carlo.

The company will stream the opera on its new DG stage platform for 12.90 Euros on July 30 at 8 p.m. CEST.

“Tosca” is set to star Netrebko alongside Yusif Eyvazov as Cavaradossi and Ludovic Tézier as Scarpia.

The semi-staged production marks Netrebko’s third outing in the title role of Puccini’s masterpiece following acclaimed performances at the Metropolitan Opera and Teatro alla Scala. She was set to perform the role at the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, and Salzburg Festival this season but performances were canceled due to the coronavirus crisis.

Netrebko will next sing “Tosca” at the Wiener Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper as well as at the Teatro Real de Madrid.

“Tosca” is set to be performed on July 23 and 26, 2020.
