The Salzburg Easter Festival has announced its 2021 festival with a number of great artists and one major new operatic production.

Christian Thielemann conducts a new production of Puccini’s “Turandot” with Yona Kim directing. Anna Netrebko sings the title role with  Yusif Eyvazov as Calaf and Golda Schultz as Liù. The cast is rounded out by Alexander Tsymbalyuk as Timur, Hansung Yoo as Ping, Jinxu Xiahou as Pang, and JunHo You as Pong.

Performance Dates: March 27-April 5, 2021

Bach’s Messe h-Moll BWV 232 will be performed by Dorothee Mields, Eva Zaïcik, Iestyn Davies, Reinoud Van Mechelen, and Krešimir Stražanac Bass with Philippe Herreweghe conducting.
