Ailyn Pérez & Joshua Guerrero Headline San Diego Opera’s Recital

The two soloists will be accompanied by pianist Abdiel Vázquez in a recital opera arias, duets, zarzuela, and popular showtunes.

The recital will mark Pérez’s return to the company where she made her debut in the title role of Gounod’s “Romeo and Juliet” in 2010 and returned as Marguerite in “Faust” in 2011; she also performed in a recital in 2014. The soprano is an international opera singer who is set to perform this season at the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, and Opéra National de Paris.

Meanwhile, Guerrero will make his house debut. The tenor is well-known around the U.S., performing at the Houston Grand Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Washington National Opera, and the Canadian Opera Company.
