David Mack Makes History as First Executive Director of IN Series

Washington D.C.’s IN Series has appointed David Mack as its first Executive Director.

Mack, a veteran arts executive, producer, and consultant who has positions as General Manager of The Industry and Executive Director of Artist Magnet Justice Alliance, will assume the role on Dec. 1, 2025.

“I’m excited to join the D.C. community as IN Series’ inaugural Executive Director as the company enters its adventurous next chapter,” said Mack, who has also held leadership positions with the African American Art & Culture Complex, Joe Goode Performance Group, and Invertigo Dance Theatre, per an official press release. “I look forward to helping expand access to innovative opera for both longtime enthusiasts and new audiences.”

Mack has consulted for LA Dance Project, Diavolo | Architecture in Motion, and Center Theatre Group. He is also a DeVos Institute Global Executive Fellow and co-founder of several Oakland-based arts organizations, including Theatre Magnet and Artist Magnet.
