Eleonora Buratto has canceled her recital appearance at the Rossini Opera Festival.

The festival announced that the soprano would not be singing the performance scheduled for August 19, 2018. As a result, Yolanda Auyanet will replace Buratto.

Auyanet is best-known for her interpretations in operas such as “La Boheme,” “La Traviata,” “Pagliacci,” “I Capuleti e Monetecchi” and “Carmen.” The Spanish soprano has performed in such theater as Teatro Verdi, Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro de la Zarzuela, and the Arena di Verona.

Buratto is next scheduled to perform at the Royal Opera House in a revival of “Carmen,” followed by an appearance in “Idomeneo” with the Teatro Real. She is also scheduled to perform at the Wiener Staatsoper, as well as at the Teatro San Carlo.

The Rossini Opera Festival opens on August 11, 2018 with a new production of the rarely performed opera “Ricciardo e Zoraide” with Pretty Yende and Juan Diego Flórez.
