Wexford Festival Opera Seeking Out New Artistic Director

The Wexford Festival Opera has announced that it is seeking out a new artistic director as incumbent David Agler is retiring at the conclusion of the 2019 festival.

The company put out a press release that included a link to the job vacancy. Per that release, the deadline to submit an application for the position is on July 20, 2018.

“The ideal candidate will possess an extensive knowledge of repertoire, together with the leadership and artistic skills needed to plan, to cast and to present a balanced programme of three principal operas to an extremely high standard,” says the job description on the official page. “Additionally, the Artistic Director devises a program including recitals, lectures and performances of more popular operatic works at various venues around the town of Wexford during the three weeks of the Festival.”

Applicants are asked to submit a cover letter and resume, along with supporting materials.
