Teatro Regio di Torino to Stream ‘L’Elisir D’Amore’

On April 22 the Teatro Regio di Torino will stream a production of Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore.”

The production, which can be seen on the company’s website, will be conducted by Stefano Montanari and will star Mariangela Sicilia as Adina, Bogdan Volkov as Nemorino, Marco Filippo Romano as Dulcamara, and Giorgio Caoduro as Belcore. The production is directed by Fabio Sparvoli.

Sicilia is a well-known soprano who has performed in the leading Italian theaters while Volkov makes his Teatro Regio debut. Meanwhile, Romano returns to the Regio following his performance in “Così Fan Tutte” and Caoduro takes on one of his signature roles.

The performance is the latest for the Teatro Regio di Torino which has already streamed “La Bohème” starring Maria Teresa Leva, “Cosi Fan Tutte” conducted by Riccardo Muti, and a number of concerts featuring Daniele Rustioni, Antonello Manacorda, and Andrea Secchi.
