Sonya Yoncheva has canceled her Teatro Alla Scala recital.

The soprano who was supposed to sing on Feb. 11, 2018, canceled due to a cold and as a result, has rescheduled the recital for Sept. 18, 2018.

Due to the cancelation, the company will offer a concert with Eva Mei, Markus Werba, and Giorgio Berrugi. The three, who are currently starring in the company’s “Die Fledermaus,” will perform arias from Mozart, Verdi, and Puccini with James Vaughan accompanying on piano.

Yoncheva’s recital was to have included the music of Verdi, Puccini, Tosti, Leoncavallo, and Catalani among others. It was featured as one of the top performances to see this weekend.

Yoncheva next returns to the Metropolitan Opera for “La Bohème” and also makes her role debut as “Luisa Miller” alongside Plácido Domingo and Piotr Beczala. She also returns to La Scala for “Il Pirata” later this year.
