Sondra Radvanovsky Cancels All Performances of Gran Teatre del Liceu’s ‘The Queen of Spades’

Sondra Radvanovsky has canceled all performances of the Gran Teatre del Liceu’s upcoming “The Queen of Spades” production.

As a result, Lianna Haroutounian will sing performances on Jan. 26, Feb. 1, 5, 8, and 11, 2022 while Irina Churilova will sing on Jan. 27, Feb. 2, 4, 6, and 10, 2022.

Radvanovsky had originally canceled only the first performances of the run. The soprano now returns to the stage on Feb. 19 and 22 for the Teatro San Carlo’s Three Queens concert.

“The Queen of Spades” will be performed in a production by Gilbert Deflo and conducted by Dmitry Jurowsky. The cast will include Yusif Eyvazov, Lukasz Golinsky, Rodion Pogossov, Elena Zaremba, Lena Belkina, Cristina Fau, George Oniani, Gevorg Hakobyan, and Andrey Zhilikhovsky.

The opera is set to open on Jan. 26 and runs through Feb. 11, 2022.
