Social Media Beat (6/23-6/29): Diana Damrau, Roberto Alagna & Carmen Giannattasio Share Backstage Pictures

This week a number of artist showed pictures backstage as they continued to prepare roles for the summer season.

Diana Damrau returned to the Bayerische Staatsoper as Violetta in “La Traviata” and shared a number of stills from the performance. It also signaled the return of Plácido Domingo at the theater.

Roberto Alagna shared a picture of him and his wife Aleksandra Kurzak in dress rehearsals for Puccini’s “Turandot” at the Royal Opera House. After suffering from illness, the couple seemed happy.

Michael Fabiano was spotted in Cannes with his boyfriend as the two took a picture by the sea. He is preparing Don Jose for Aix-en-Provence.

Meanwhile Carmen Giannattasio shared pictures in her dressing room from Dresden. She is currently singing Nedda in “Pagliacci.”

After her first performance of Violetta in “La Traviata” at the Royal Opera House, Corinne Winters shared a picture in costume.
