San Diego Opera Announces Chief Financial Officer

San Diego Opera has announced that Jeannie Posner will take on the role of the company’s Chief Financial Officer. She has been with the company since July.

Per a press release, Posner’s position will include reporting to the General Director and will work on planning, implementing, managing, and controlling the opera company’s financial activities. She will also report regularly to the Board of Directors and will manage four employees.

“As a New Yorker who was introduced to great art and culture at a very early age, I understand the value and importance of art in our community,” Posner stated in a press release. “The opera’s commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility and longevity is well known. I look forward to being part of San Diego Opera and its exciting future.”

Prior to her work with San Diego Opera, she was the Treasurer of Del Mar Carmel Valley Sharks for four years and was also Treasurer of Congregation Beth El in La Jolla. She also sits on the audit committee at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center.

The San Diego Opera kicks off its 2018-19 season in October with Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro.”
