Ryan Speedo Green To Serve As Chair For Opera Week

Ryan Speedo Green will be the chair of OPERA America’s National Opera Week.

In a post via social media, the organization announced that the bass-baritone would be the Honorary Chair of the week which celebrates opera through various panels and events. In response to the honor, Speedo Green said, “I’m honored to be the honorary chair of OPERA America’s National Opera Week!”

Speedo Green has had a busy fall season appearing in “Aida” and in “La Bohème” at the Metropolitan Opera. He also made his Kennedy Center debut performing a recital as part of winning the Marian Anderson Award.

He is also scheduled to return to the Vienna State Opera, where he is currently an ensemble member and he will also appear with the Chamber Society of Lincoln Center.

National Opera Week is set to be held from Oct. 26 to Nov. 4, 2018.
