Renée Fleming will be giving a recital at the Los Angeles Opera on Feb. 6, 2018.

The company officially announced the recital which will also feature pianist Hartmut Höll.

“The superstar returns to LA Opera for the first time since 2016 in a one-night-only recital with her longtime collaborator, the distinguished German pianist Hartmut Höll, in a special program of beloved arias and songs,” says the official website for LA Opera.

Fleming’s inclusion in the 2017-18 season is the latest in a tremendous lineup for the company that features “Carmen,” “The Pearl Fishers,” “Nabucco,” “Persona,” “Candide,” Orpheus and Eurydice,” Rigoletto,” and “Crossing.” It is also the third major solo event for a recognized superstar. Plácido Domingo is getting a 50th anniversary gala in the fall while singer Audra McDonald closes out the season with her own performance later in the season.

Fleming, despite leaving behind a number of major opera roles, still maintains a relatively busy schedule. The soprano is slated for a concert in the UK where she will perform Strauss’ “Last Four Songs” on August 24. Then four days later she performs Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” in Amsterdam. She then has the Proms concert followed by other such performances in Helsinki, Dortmund, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Eugene, Indianapolis, followed by many others.
