Rachel Willis-Sørensen To Perform For Prince Charles’ 70th Birthday

Rachel Willis-Sørensen is set to perform for Prince Charles’ 70th Birthday on May 29, 2018.

The soprano announced the news via Instagram stating “Tonight I have the huge honor of singing for Prince Charles‘ 70th Birthday at Buckingham Palace! I will be singing two of The Four Last Songs by Strauss. Simon Russell Beale narrates and Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra.”

The soprano is currently performing “Der Rosenkavalier” at the Glyndebourne Festival and will return to the Royal Opera House for Mozart’s “Don Giovanni.” She is also set to return to Verdi’s “Les Vêpres Siciliennes” at the Bayerische Staatsoper in the summer and the fall. Next season will also see her make her role debut in the title role of “Rusalka” at the San Francisco Opera.
