The Portland Opera is set to feature a recital featuring Resident Artist Kate Farrar.

The concert, which is part of the company’s 2018 Resident Artist Series will showcase the mezzo-soprano in performance alongside Chorus Master and Assistant Conductor Nicholas Fox on piano.

The concert will take place at the Whitsell Auditorium on Wednesday, March 13, 2018, at 7 p.m.

Farrar is in the midst of her second year as a Resident Artist with Portland Opera. A year ago, she made her company debut as a soloist in Monteverdi’s “Songs of Love and War,” before performing a solo in the company’s Big Night Concert, Antonia in “Man of La Mancha,” and Dorabella in “Così fan tutte.”

Her second season is set to see her in the Big Night Concert as well as lead roles in “La Cenerentola,” Giovanna in “Rigoletto,” and Siebel in “Faust.”
