Pittsburgh Opera to Honor Governor Tom Wolf And Pat & Michele Atkins At The Maecenas Gala

The Pittsburgh Opera will honor Tom Wolf, Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his extraordinary dedication to the state of Pennsylvania and the city of Pittsburgh.

The award will be given at the 34th annual Maecenas Gala on Saturday, May 12, which will feature the whimsical theme “Cirque de l ’Opera.”

In a press release Governor Wolf said, “Pennsylvania is lucky to have a vibrant arts and culture sector which enriches the lives of residents and draws millions of visitors to the commonwealth each year. Pittsburgh Opera plays a vital role in our creative legacy, and I am excited to support the Opera at the Maecenas Gala.”

The Pittsburgh Opera will also honor local arts patrons Pat and Michele Atkins with its Maecenas Award.

The Pittsburgh Opera recently finished a run of “Moby Dick and next month concludes the season with Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore” with Ekaterina Siurina and Dimitri Pittas.
