Palm Beach Announces Opera Center Stage

By Francisco Salazar

Palm Beach Opera has announced Opera Center Stage, a new multi-platform initiative.

The new platform is aimed at connecting audiences to opera through a conversation-style podcast and a blog. It will first launch with its hub of content at operacenterstage.org and will offer fresh perspectives on opera with easy-to-read articles.

The platform will then unveil a corresponding podcast, hosted by the company’s marketing and promotion team, which will feature open and honest conversations with opera professionals from around the country.

Opera Center Stage will later extend into print, video and other media platforms, including considerations of an integrated app.

Managing Director David Walker noted in a press release, “We’re thrilled to launch this innovative project, which will connect audiences to the world of opera with informative yet inviting conversations, interviews, and behind-the-scenes insights. By exploring opera through multiple modern and accessible platforms, we hope to reach more opera fans and foster new ones, inspiring life-long interest in the arts.”

The news comes during National Opera Week and makes Palm Beach Opera among the few opera companies to incorporate a multi-platform channel, and is particularly set apart from many because of the Opera Center Stage strategy.
