Operavision 2018 Live Stream: ‘Orfeo & Majnun’ From Festival d’Aix-En-Provence Gets Worldwide Audience

OperaVision will start streaming the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence’s production of “Orfeo & Majnun” starting on July 8, 2018.

The work, which is sung in English, French, and Arabic, will feature Judith Fa, Nai Barghouti, Loay Srouji, Yoann Dubruque, and Schli Gholamalizad. The music by Adwan, van der Harst, and Moody will be conducted by Bassem Akiki, leading the Intercultural Ensemble of the Mediterranean Orchestra.

The stream kicks off at 10 p.m. local time. That’s around 5 p.m. EDT and 2 p.m. PST for the start time. It will be available for repeat viewings on OperaVision until Jan. 7, 2019.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals. OperaVision brings together 30 partners from 18 countries and invites you to travel and discover the diversity of opera from wherever you want, whenever you want.”
