Opera Parallèle Adds Top Attorney To Board of Directors

By David Salazar

Opera Parallèle is making some changes to its administration, adding San Francisco Attorney Jerome C. Roth to its Board of Directors.

Roth is a litigation partner in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson, with a specialization in business and international litigation in addition to white collar criminal defense.  He has been called one of the top lawyers on white collar litigation in California and in 2016 was even named by Best Lawyers as the top attorney in San Francisco for “bet-the-company” litigation.

“Jerry’s experience and expertise fit our strategy perfectly as we take Opera Parallèle to the next level of organizational growth.  Jerry brings to the OP Board his commitment to supporting arts and culture, and complements our efforts to strengthen connectivity with our ever-growing OP community,” said the company’s president Susan McConkey.

“I’m incredibly impressed by Opera Parallèle’s artistic innovation and the fact that, over a relatively short time, it has added so much cultural richness to our region,” commented Roth. “Joining the Board of this extraordinary arts organization is a tremendous honor.”

Opera Parallèle is coming off a successful run of Phillip Glass’ “Les Enfants Terribles,” with OperaWire critic Lois Silverstein noting “As we walk beyond OP’s doors and realm of multitalented artists and attempt again to muddle through, we thank Opera Parallèle and the probing Philip Glass for taking us on through.”
