Opera Omaha Announces Holland Community Opera Fellowship Winners

Kate Pomrenke and José Maldonado have been selected as the fellows of the Holland Community Opera Fellowship by Opera Omaha. 

In a press release, Opera Omaha announced that the two artists had been selected for the 2018-19 season. 

These two artists, alongside current first-year fellows Jessica John Brock and Chabrelle WIlliams, will be part of a season-long residency with the company. 

“I am thrilled that the first year of the Holland Community Opera Fellowship made new and impactful connections with over 7,800 individuals from all over the city,” said General Director Roger Weitz in a press release. “I look forward to the arrival of Kate and José who will uniquely and significantly expand the meaningful work of the Fellowship.”

Per the press release, “The second year of the Holland Community Opera Fellowship will commence in August 2018, with a full cohort of four singers who will be in residence in Omaha to perform, teach and conduct service-oriented activities to benefit the community.”
