Opera Naples’ Summer Youth Program is set to present Gilbert & Sullivan’s comedic operetta, “Iolanthe.”

“Iolanthe” will be directed by Emily Cuk, who is artistic director for the Eastman Opera collective and she will be partnering with Robin Frank, Opera Naples’ Director of Educational Outreach and Chorus Master, who serves as the musical director for this production.

The operetta is part of the Opera Naples’ Summer Youth Program, which is an intensive learning experience for participants ages 13 to 21 years of age. During the program participants rehearse for two weeks before the performances and also take masterclasses and workshops that focus on vocal technique, acting, and prop construction.

The operetta will be presented on Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24 at the Wang Opera Center.
