Opera Naples has announced that Timothy Todd Simmons will be the company’s new executive director.

Simmons recently served as the Executive Director at the New Orleans Opera and served as the Chorus Master/Assistant Conductor with the San Diego Opera. He is a graduate of the Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and has two Masters Degrees: a Master of Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University College of Business.

In a press release Jerry Goldberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Opera Naples said, “I am extremely pleased that Todd is joining Opera Naples as our Executive Director. His successful experience at San Diego Opera and New Orleans Opera have made him uniquely qualified to expand our many important programs.”

Opera Naples recently performed a production of “Aida” and is set to showcase Nicole Heaston in recital.
