Opera Maine Reveals Cast For ‘The Magic Flute’ This July

Opera Maine will present its new production of “The Magic Flute” on July 24 and 26, 2019.

The production will feature maestro Roberto Kalb in his Opera Maine debut. Kalb is the Head of Music and Resident Conductor at the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis.

The classic Mozart opera will be directed by Dona D. Vaughn, the company’s Artistic Director. Vaughn is celebrating her 25th anniversary with the company where she has directed every mainstage production since 1995 when the organization first launched.

The production will star Geoffrey Agpalo as Tamino and Brandie Sutton as Pamina. Baritone Robert Mellon will take on the role of Papageno while Kathryn Bowden will be the Queen of the Night. Hidenori Inoue will be Sarastro. Other cast members include Anna Mandina, Maureen Brabec, Kristen Choi, Yeonji Lee, Matthew Curran, and Lucas Levy.
