Investec Opera Holland Park has announced that it will stage a double bill of “Margot la Rouge” and “Le Villi” in 2020.

In a press release, the company announced that “Le Villi” has been on OHP’s planning board for some time and the upcoming production will be the first major London staging of the work. Meanwhile, “Margot la Rouge” is Delius’ only verismo opera. The double bill will see the company present both in their original orchestrations, from 1902 and 1883 respectively.

The double bill will replace Montemezzi’s “La Nave” in 2020, which will be presented at a future season.

The 2020 Investec Opera Holland Park Season will also include new stagings of Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin,” and Lehár’s “The Merry Widow.”

Casting information and performance dates will be announced at a later date.
