New York City Opera will continue its relationship with Bryant Park this summer, featuring a number of productions.

The company kicked off this series last week with “Los Elementos,” but there will be an encore performance on May 30, 2017. OperaWire reviewed a previous performance of the opera, writing, “In general, it was a great performance and City Opera can congratulate itself on its success. Here’s to hoping that they continue to explore Spanish language opera.”

After that, on June 13, 2017, there will be a presentation that features excerpts from “La Cenerentola” by Gioachino Rossini. A family event kicks off at 4 p.m. with a recital scheduled for 6 p.m. EDT at the Upper Terrace.

On August 22, the company will preview its upcoming season, featuring excerpts from “La Fanciulla del West.” The Puccini opera is slated to open the 2017-18 season. This performance will be held at Bryant Park’s Upper Terrace starting at 6 p.m. EDT.

The company’s summer showcase at Bryant Park will come to an end on September 15, 2017, at 6 p.m. EDT. This performance will feature arias and duets by Giuseppe Verdi, including passages from “Rigoletto.”

Bryant Park and NYC Opera also collaborated in 2016 with a concert of Puccini excerpts, “Florencia de las Amazonas,” “Carmen,” and “Pagliacci.”
