New York Opera Fest 2017: Regina Opera Holds Sneak Peak of ‘L’Elisir d’Amore’

In just a few days Regina Opera Company will showcase Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore” in a fully staged production.

The sneak peak performance, which will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Brooklyn, NY will take place on May 10 at 7:30 p.m. with subsequent performances on May 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 3 p.m. EDT.

The role of the bumpkin Nemorino will be shared by tenor Heejae Kim and Ivan Rivera. Nemorino’s dream girl Adina will be interpreted by Sarah Moulton Faux and Hannah Stone while the arrogant Belcore will be created by Jonathan Hare and Peter Hakjoon Kim. As the charlatan “doctor” Dulcamara, audiences will get the chance to enjoy the work of Geeseop Kim and Luis Alvarado while Gianetta will be performed by Melissa Serluco and Sharon Cheng. The performances will be directed by Linda Lehr with Gregory Ortega conducting the performance.

Regina Opera Company will conclude the 2016-17 season which featured “Don Giovanni” in the fall and “Tosca” in March. Both of those productions featured Ortega as conductor and Lehr as director.
