New York Opera Fest 2017: Opera on Tap Presents ‘New Brew – Pint Sized Opera Edition’

New York Opera Fest and producers, New York Opera Alliance, and Opera on Tap present “New Brew- Pint Sized Opera Edition,” which will consist of a bunch of very short operas that were written by numerous interesting and exciting new composers.

Each performance will feature an enthusiastic singer, who’s looking forward to the direct contact with the audience and immediate and upfront feedback from them.  The night will take place at Barbes, a bar in Brooklyn. The performance will kickoff at 8:00 p.m EDT.

This entertaining concert will feature several works, such as, “The Tragedy of Count Alfredo von Nibelungen” by Patrick Soluri, who is a multi-talented composer based in NYC; “I Can Hardly Wait” by Jeremy Beck and Joel Gelpe; and “Krispy Kremes and Butter Queens” by Composer Jennifer Jolley and playwright, lyricist and librettist Vynnie Meli.

Other short operas being shown are “The Lifespan of a Fly by Ronnie Reshef and Vynnie Meli; “I Hope the Moonlight Suite is Okay, We Recommend it When the Honeymoon Suite isn’t Available” by Gilda Lyons and Rob Handel; a scene from “Passion in Pigskin” Michael Lydon and Ellen Mandel; and last but not least, “The Last Laugh” by Christopher Berg.
