Nadine Sierra to Be Featured in ‘Weihnachten in Bethlehem’ Concert

On Dec. 24, soprano Nadine Sierra will be featured on the “Weihnachten in Bethlehem”concert on ZDF and ZDF.de.

The German television channel’s annual program features traditional Christmas music performed in the historic Church of St. Catherine in Bethlehem.

This marks the first time that Sierra is featured on the concert and on the broadcast, the soprano will be heard singing “Silent Night” in German.

Sierra will join an international cast that includes Anna Maria Kaufmann, Rea Garvey, and Yury Revich. The soloists will be joined by the Sistine Chapel Choir and the Yasmeen Choir of the Magnificat Institute of Music, the Al Kamandjâti Association, and conductor Danielle Williams.

Markus Lanz will host the program.

Sierra has become an international star after numerous breakouts all over the world. This season she will be at the Paris National Opera to perform in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflaute” and Verdi’s “Rigoletto.” She will also make her debut in the Live in HD series from the Metropolitan Opera in Mozart’s “Idomeneo” this Spring.  She will also make a stop in Italy at La Fenice where she will perform the title role of Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor.”
