Mezzo To Air Les Contes D’Hoffmann From Monte-Carlo

Mezzo will broadcast “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” from Opera Monte-Carlo.

The new production, which is set to premiere on Jan. 22, 2018, will star Juan Diego Flórez in the title role and Olga Peretyatko as the four heroines Stella, Antonia, Giuletta, Olympia. Both stars will be making role debuts.

The roles of Lindorf, Coppélius, Dr. Miracle, and Capitaine and Dappertutto will be performed by Nicolas Courjal, while Nicklausse will be sung by Sophie Marilley.

Jacques Lacombe conducts the production by Jean-Louis Grinda. Mezzo will air the Jan. 31 performance which will also be the final performance in a run of four shows.

The producion reunites Peretyatko and Flórez who performed in “Matilde di Shabran” at the Pesaro Festival and in “Rigoletto” at the Vienna State Opera.

Mezzo will air the production at 8:00 pm Local standard time.
