Luca Salsi, Michele Pertusi & Riccardo Frizza Lead Teatro La Fenice’s April Streams

The Teatro La Fenice has announced new streams for the month of April.

The Italian company’s streams will be free on YouTube or on Teatrolafenice.it.

The month begins with an homage to Stravinsky who died 50 years ago. The concert will include the composer’s “Histoire du soldat” under Alessandro Cappelletto. Francesco Bortolozzo directs.

Streaming Date: April 16, 2021

Juraj Valčuha returns to the podium conducting “The Miraculous Mandarin” by Béla Bartók.

Streaming Date: April 17, 2021

The company will present a reading of “La Tournee del secolo Toscanini e la straordinaria nascita dell’Orchestra della Scala.” The stream will be in direct from the Teatro La Fenice and feature Fortunato Ortombina and musicologist Harvey Sachs.

Streaming Date: April 23, 2021

The final stream of the month will be entitled “Verdi e La Fenice.” Riccardo Frizza conducts a concert featuring Luca Salsi and Michele Pertusi in music from  “Ernani,” “Attila,” “Rigoletto,” “La traviata,” and “Simon Boccanegra.”The concert will also feature Chiara Brunello, Cristiano Olivieri, Armando Gabba, and Matteo Ferrara.
