Lisette Oropesa, Michael Fabiano & Lucas Meachem Highlight Festival Napa Valley’s 2021 Season

The Festival Napa Valley has announced its 2021 season featuring a number of diverse musical offerings.

For the purposes of this article, the focus will be on operatic showcases.

The festival opens with Opening Night starring Lisette Oropesa in recital. The concert will be dedicated to the late Ann Getty.

Performance Date: July 16, 2021

Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” will be presented starring baritone Lucas Meachem in the title role. Directed by Jean-Romain Vesperini, the opera will be conducted by Kent Nagano in his Festival debut.

Performance Date: July 22, 2021

The festival comes to a close with Opera Under the Stars. Michael Fabiano performs an evening of arias alongside conductor James Conlon.

Performance Date: July 24, 2021

The festival will also include performances from Jennifer Hudson, Matt Haimovitz, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and there will be a tribute to Tony Bennett.
