Krassimira Stoyanova To Sign Albums At Met Opera Shop

Krassimira Stoyanova will be at the Met Opera shop this April 11 at 3 P.M. EST signing copies of her two new albums.

The Bulgarian soprano recently released “Verismo” and “Puccini: Complete Songs for Soprano and Piano.” The latter album features pianist Maria Prinz. The “Verismo” album features arias from “Manon Lescaut,” “Adriana Lecouvreur,” “L’Amico Fritz,” “Turandot,” “Madama Butterfly,” “La Wally,” “Suor Angelica,” “Andrea Chénier,” “Edgar,” “Lodoletta” and “Tosca.” That album features the Munchner Rundfunkorchester conducted by Pavel Baleff.

Stoyanova is set to appear at the Met to sing Verdi’s “Aida” starting on March 23. She will sing six performances alongside Violetta Urmana, Jorge de León, Riccardo Massi, James Morris, George Gagnidze and Morris Robinson.

The soprano made her debut at the Met Opera on Nov. 28, 2001, in the lead role of Verdi’s “La Traviata.” She has also sung “Turandot,” “Pagliacci,” “Carmen,” “Don Giovanni,” “La Bohème” and “Otello.”

Other major artists that have signed albums the season at the shop include Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Pretty Yende, Jamie Barton and Sonya Yoncheva among others. The latter will sign albums on March 15 at 3 P.M.
