Jonathan Tetelman is set to replace Fabio Sartori at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

The Liceu announced that Sartori canceled performances of “Tosca” in June due to personal reasons. As a result, Tetelman will perform the role of  Cavaradossi alongside Liudmyla Monastryska and Erwin Schrott.

Tetelman will make his role debut in the production by Paco Azorín and it will also mark his house debut. He was originally scheduled to make his debut as Cavaradossi at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence per his website. Tetelman is also set to perform at the English National Opera in a production of “La Boheme” and “Madama Butterfly” with the Virginia Opera.

Sartori is currently rehearsing a new production of “Attila” at the Teatro alla Scala and will return to the Palau de les Arts for “I Masnadieri.”

“Tosca” opens on June 9 and runs through the 28, 2019.
