Jonas Kaufmann has announced a new album entitled “It’s Christmas” for Sony Classical.

In a statement the tenor said, “The new album ‘It’s Christmas!’ echoes holiday memories and joys, celebrating the most festive time of the year with a unique selection of beloved songs and carols. This diverse holiday album features 40 favorites that reflect the many facets of Christmas, from ancient Christian hymns to contemporary pop classics.”

The new album will be released as Limited Deluxe Edition on two CDs with an extensive Booklet.

The new album marks the fourth release for Kaufmann this year following “Otello,” “Selige Stunde,” and “Summer Nights Concert 2020.”

Kaufmann recently concluded a production of “Don Carlos” at the Wiener Staatsoper and is set to return to the Teatro alla Scala for a recital. He will also sing Rodolfo in “La Bohème” at the Bayerische Staatsoper.
