The New Amsterdam Opera has announced a Spring 2018 event featuring two Metropolitan Opera stars.

The concert entitled “Spring Fling” will be an Informal Sing & Sip with soprano Jennifer Rowley and baritone Mark Delavan. Artistic Director Keith Chambers will accompany them at the piano.

Rowley recently received raves at the Met for her performance as Leonora in “Il Trovatore” and “Tosca.” She is gearing up to make her debut this summer as Medea with Teatro Nuovo and will also appear at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in “Il Trovatore.” She will also return to the Met for “Tosca” and her role debut as “Adriana Lecouvreur.”

Meanwhile, Delavan is a leading Wagnerian who will perform Wotan with the Arizona Opera and is also slated to appear at the Dallas Opera and North Carolina Opera.

Spring Fling will take place on May 13 at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament.
