Jennifer Johnson Cano To Be Featured In Anna Netrebko’s Recital

Jennifer Johnson Cano is set to perform on Anna Netrebko’s upcoming recitals.

The mezzo-soprano announced via Twitter that she would be joining Netrebko in two duets for her recitals at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Carnegie Hall. According to the program the two duets will be the Barcarolle from “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” and the Act One duet from “The Queen of Spades.”

Johnson Cano is currently at the Met preparing to reprise the role of Emilia in Verdi’s “Otello” and will also be in the Met’s revival of “Falstaff” as Meg Page.  She will also make appearances at Carnegie Hall, Heinz Hall, and the Harvard Athletic Complex.

Netrebko’s recital is set to feature the music of Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Bridge, Leoncavallo, and Strauss.

The Carnegie Hall Recital is set for Dec. 9, 2018, while the Lyric Opera of Chicago recital will be held on Dec. 2, 2018
