Fans will get a chance to meet mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton at the Metropolitan Opera Store on Feb 23 at 3 p.m.

Barton will sign copies of her new album “All Who Wander,” which includes music from Sibelius, Dvorak and Mahler. Upon release OperaWire said, “Barton’s voice is delicate throughout, a sound that the audiences are not accustomed to hearing in the opera house where her potent mezzo soprano exhilarates with its brilliance and forwardness.”

This will mark Barton’s first appearance at the Opera shop and the album marks her debut for Delos.

Barton recently sang the role of Fenena in Verdi’s “Nabucco” at the Metropolitan Opera and she is currently singing the role of Ježibaba in Dvorak’s “Rusalka.” Of her Ježibaba, OperaWire wrote, “Barton was electric as Ježibaba. Her take on the character was a “Satan-lite,” if you will, the character a fun-loving yet conniving villain.” After “Rusalka” Barton goes to Houston for Waltraute and the second Norn in Wagner’s “Götterdämmerung.”

Recently Anna Netrebko, Pretty Yende and Placido Domingo were at the Met Opera shop where they signed copies of their new albums.
